'One Of The Standout Moments Of My Career' - Brighton Striker Delighted To Score First Goal For Nigeria
Brighton & Hove striker Ini Umotong has described her maiden international goal as one of the standout moments of her career.

The Super Falcons finished third in the maiden Wuhua Four-Nation Tournament in China thanks to their 4-1 win over Romania and Umotong completed the scoring in the 83rd minute after coming off the bench.

''I’m thrilled to get my first goal for Nigeria. To come off the bench and score is one of the stand out moments of my career,'' said Umotong to Brighton's official website.

''It was a through ball and I got in the middle of two defenders and outran them.

''I then got into a one-v-one situation with the goalkeeper and I took the ball around her and placed it into an empty net.''

Umotong was a member of the Nigeria squad to the 2015 Fifa Women's World Cup and is hoping to be included on the roster for this summer's tournament in France.

She has been named on the bench in the ongoing clash between The Seagulls and Manchester City.
