Official : Arsenal Capture Versatile Midfielder From Barcelona
Published: January 31, 2019Arsenal have announced the capture of Spain international Denis Suarez on loan for the remainder of the 2018-2019 campaign.
The versatile midfielder extended his contract with Barcelona until June 30, 2021 before heading to London.
Speaking on the deal, Gunners boss Unai Emery said to arsenal.com : ''We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us. He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla.
''He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he’ll be able to help the team.''
Suarez was in the Sevilla squad coached by Emery that won the Europa League in 2015.
The 25-year-old has defended the colours of Manchester City, Villarreal, Porriño Industrial and Celta de Vigo in the past.
