Official : Stevenage Add Fulham's Nigerian Starlet To Offensive Ranks
Published: January 31, 2019Through a statement on their official webpage, Stevenage FC have announced that they have signed Nigerian striker Elijah Adebayo, through a loan transfer from Premier League side Fulham.
The 21-year-old will spend the rest of the season at The Boro, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Adebayo was loaned out to Swindon Town, for whom he scored 5 goals in 30 matches across all tournaments, for the first half of the season.
Speaking on the deal, he said : ''I am eager to get going now and try to help the club achieve their goals.
''I am grateful for the opportunity and hope to make my mark on the team this season.''
Predominantly a striker, Adebayo is also capable of playing as a central defender should the need arise.
He has been at Fulham since the age of nine.
