Agent Reacts To Reports Linking Ogbu With Move To Grimsby Town
Published: January 31, 2019Nigerian striker Moses Ogbu has been linked with a deadline day move to EFL League Two club Grimsby Town.
The 27-year-old is searching for a new club after choosing not to extend his stay at Swedish Allsvenskan side IK Sirius.
Grimsby Town are coached by Michael Jolley, who was previously at AFC Eskilstuna before departing in 2018 after seven months at the Swedish team.
Asked to confirm the reports linking Ogbu with a transfer to Grimsby Town, Ogbu's agent Innocent Okeke said : ''It is not true Ogbu is joining Grimsby Town.
''He has a Swedish passport but I'm working on a transfer in Asia. I'll know in the next days''.
Last season, Ogbu captained IK Sirius and scored seven goals in 28 appearances in the Swedish topflight.
He has turned out for Gimo IF and Jönköpings Södra in the past.
