After a thrilling international week which saw Nigeria record three victories from four games much thanks to the effervescence of their strikers, the national team players who had executed the business will now head back to their respective clubs as club football is set to return.

In this piece, we will look at four of the country's top marksmen who could prove to be the difference for their clubs this weekend.

Paul Onuachu(Midtjylland): Super Eagles hero against Egypt, Onuachu will return to club duties to face Nordsjæsland in the Danish Super League.

He will hope his lightening-quick effort against the North Africans will spur him onto adding to his seventeen goals this season.

The 24-year-old scored a hat trick against Nordsjæsland in a 4-1 victory when the two teams first met in this fixture back in October last year.

Victor Osimhen (Sporting Charleroi): Fresh from his treble which handed Nigeria's U23s a magnificent comeback in the qualifiers, Osimhen will hardly be lacking in confidence when Charleroi host Sint-Truiden in the Belgian First Division this weekend.

It is expected the Wolfsburg loanee will continue the prolific form which earned him a call up, having scored twelve league goals in just 25 outings, one of which was against the Stayen stadium outfit this year.

Odion Ighalo (Shanghai Shenhua): The 2019 Afcon qualifiers top scorer take on Henan Jianye with his team in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

Having got of the mark for his club against Hebei CFFC just before the international break, Ighalo will want to keep the goals flowing with one or two more at Zhenghou Hangai stadium.
