Super Eagles Star Lands In Norway To Complete Shock Deadline Day Move To AaFK
Published: April 01, 2019Nigeria international Izunna Uzochukwu is on the verge of completing an under-the-radar transfer to Norwegian First Division club Aalesunds FK.
According to Norwegian newspaper Sunnmørsposten, Aalesunds FK are working hard to sign the central midfielder before the close of the Norwegian transfer window on April 1.
The FC Midtjylland product is on the lookout for a new employer following his departure from Chinese League One club Meizhou Hakka, for whom he made eight appearances in 2018.
Ahead of a possible move to AaFK, Uzochukwu was allowed to train with Midtjylland during the international break and took part in a Reserveliga game against Esbjerg fB on March 26.
The 28-year-old, who cut his footballing teeth with FC Ebedei, lists Odense Boldklub and Amkar Perm among his former clubs.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Uzochukwu arrived in Norway on Sunday and his transfer to Aalesunds FK is imminent.
