Chelsea Reject Fenerbahce's Initial Bid For Victor Moses
Published: April 01, 2019
Chelsea have rejected an initial bid from Fenerbahce for the permanent acquisition of Victor Moses, according to reports.
Ajansspor says The Yellow Canaries had offered five million euros for the right winger, a figure deemed insufficient by the Premier League side, who have told their Turkish counterparts to increase the fee.
The report added that Fenerbahce's sporting director Damien Comolli is expected to go to England to meet face to face with the Chelsea executives and thrash out a deal.
Damien Comolli, who previously worked at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, played a key role in convincing Moses to join Fenerbahce in the January transfer window.
The former Nigeria international has been on the books of Chelsea since the summer of 2012 but it appears his future lies elsewhere as he is not in the plans of manager Maurizio Sarri.
In addition, the former Crystal Palace man enjoyed three successive loan spells with Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham.
Moses comes off contract with The Blues at the end of the 2020-2021 campaign.
