There were four goals to report scored by Nigeria-eligible players in the English Football League on Saturday, April 13.

In the Championship, Aston Villa brightened their playoff hopes by beating Bristol City 2-1 at Villa Park.

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham broke the deadlock eight minutes after the restart when he slotted home from the penalty spot after Conor Hourihane was brought down in the area.

The England U21 striker has tallied 24 goals in 36 appearances in the second tier so far this season.

Elsewhere, in a nine-goal thriller at the Stadium of Light, Coventry City beat Sunderland 5-4 with Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Bright Enobakhare netting his fifth goal in the League One for the visitors.

The Nigerian-born striker slotted into the bottom corner in the 12th minute to open the scoring.

Still in the division, a pair of goals from Adebayo Akinfenwa saw Wycombe Wanderers register a 2-0 victory against Southend United at Roots Hall Stadium.

Akinfenwa squeezed a shot into the far corner in the 69th minute and doubled the lead three minutes later with a looping header.
