Two Perfect Loan Clubs That Will Enhance Development Of Chelsea Starlet Uwakwe
Published: April 19, 2019
Chelsea youngster Tariq Uwakwe has seen it all when it comes to youth football, having featured for the Blues U16, U18, and Premier League 2 sides respectively.
It won't be out of place to admit that the youngster should be preparing for first-team duties next season.
However, it is uncertain if Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will include him in his plans for the upcoming season, assuming the England youth international extends his contract with The Blues.
The competition for regular game-time at Stamford Bridge seems too intense for the young midfielder to break into Sarri's first-team next season.
The best option for Uwakwe is to be sent on a loan deal in the summer if he just enjoy constant first-team football next. Here are top two clubs who the 19-year-old should join to develop his game.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has an impressive record of utilizing young English players, hence, Uwakwe won't be denied the opportunity to showcase his talents at the Selhurst Park Stadium.
Playing for Premier League's mid-table club will be a good one for Uwakwe as he won't be under any pressure to help the team qualify for a top-four finish, neither will he be pressurized to help them avoid relegation.
Aston Villa
The promotion-chasing Championship side look descent and awesome for Uwakwe to develop his career.
Dean Smith's men are fifth on the Sky Bet championship table, and they are actively involved in the race for promotion to the Premier League next season.
The Nigeria-eligible star could serve as perfect replacement for influential midfielder Glenn Whelan (35), who could find it difficult to withstand Premier League's physical-demanding nature next season.
Considering the way Tammy Abraham was treated by the manager and the Villa Park faithfuls, it will be save to say that Uwakwe's growth will be boosted should he join the team.
