Tottenham Ready To Use Nigerian Midfielder As Makeweight In Deal To Sign Sessegnon
Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to sign Fulham super kid Ryan Sessegnon by offering Nigerian midfielder Josh Onomah in the deal, according to reports.

The Daily Mail says Tottenham have been chasing Sessegnon's signature all summer and are now set to include academy graduate Josh Onomah in the deal.

With three days to go before the close of the transfer window, manager Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to close the deal this week.

Onomah has been declared surplus to requirements by the Argentine manager and did not take part in any of their pre-season fixtures.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed successive loan spells at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday and is behind Harry Winks, Erik Lamela, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen in the pecking order of midfielders at The Lilywhites.

A key member of England's U20 World Cup winning side in 2017, he has made 32 appearances for Spurs' first team.
