Denmark Set To Earn Big Win Over Nigeria As Bournemouth Star Could Become Cap-tied This Month
Published: September 06, 2019
The Danish Football Association (DBU) are nailed-on favorites to win the race for the services of one of the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League, Philip Billing, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Billing has been called up to the Danish senior national team for their European Championship qualifiers against
Gibraltar (Sept 5) and Georgia (Sept 8) and would become cap-tied to the Scandinavian giants if he spends a second on the pitch in their next game.

The 23-year-old has represented Denmark at U19 and U21 levels and his senior debut is inevitable having made the match day squads for competitive matches against Switzerland and Gibraltar this year.
The Nigeria Football Federation and coach Gernot Rohr have had their eyes on Billing for a while and have been following his play since he was at Huddersfield Town.
Rohr made contact with the player late last year ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations but was unable to convince him to turn his back on his country of birth.
Billing, who's started all of Bournemouth's four Premier League games in the new season, has a Nigerian mother and was born in Copenhagen.
He was nominated for The Cherries Player of the Month for August 2019.
