Osimhen Names The Chelsea Legend He Idolizes; Distraught After Terry Missed Penalty Vs Man Utd
Ahead of Lille's Champions League clash against Chelsea, Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has revealed that he idolized Blues legend Didier Drogba when he was growing up.

With 164 goals in 381 appearances for Chelsea, Drogba is the highest scoring foreigner in Chelsea's history and 36 of those goals were scored in European competitions which is a club record.

Osimhen was distraught after Chelsea defender John Terry missed a penalty in the 2008 Champions League final against Manchester United.

''At age 9, at a bar in Lagos, Nigeria, young Victor Osimhen is enthusiastic about the 2008 Champions League final that pits Chelsea, the team of his idol Didier Drogba, against Manchester United,'' Le Parisien wrote on Osimhen, making reference to the striker's recent interview with the print edition of France Football.

''When the Londoner John Terry misses his penalty, the child of the capital, desperate, starts to run in all directions.

''The bar door opens ... right in the eyebrow arch of Osimhen. After crying profusely, as he tells France Football, he makes the promise to put his passion in the service of a professional career.''

Osimhen, who has registered 6 goals so far this season, will be hoping to score his first Champions League goal against Drogba's former team at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Villeneuve d'Ascq) tonight.
