Lille's Victor Osimhen Repeats Neymar, Radamel Falcao Goalscoring Feat In Ligue 1

According to beIN Sports, Victor Osimhen has had an identical start to his career in the Ligue 1 as Radamel Falcao and Neymar.

The Nigeria international rescued a point for Lille in their 2-2 draw with Nimes on Sunday to take his tally to seven league goals in nine appearances.

In his debut season in France in 2013, Colombia star Falcao tallied seven goals in his first nine games against Bordeaux, Montpellier, Marseille, FC Lorient, PSG and SC Bastia (2).

Brazil superstar Neymar registered his name on the scoresheet against Guingamp, Toulouse (2), Metz, Bordeaux (2) and Marseille in his first nine matches for PSG after joining from Barcelona during the 2017-2018 season.

Thanks to his 79th minute equaliser against Nimes, Osimhen is the leading scorer in Ligue 1 heading into the second international break of the 2019-2020 season.

The 20-year-old has the distinction of having scored all his seven league goals at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Villeneuve d'Ascq).

Osimhen picked up the Player of the Month award for September (see picture) prior to yesterday's game against Nimes.
