Arsenal Legend Names Four Players Ahead Of Saka In Pecking Order Of Attackers At The Emirates
Published: October 28, 2019
Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has tipped Bukayo Saka for future stardom but has noted that the young winger will find it difficult to retain his place in Arsenal's starting line-up with Alexandre Lacazette returning to full fitness.
Having been named in the starting line-up for four straight matches in the Premier League, the Hale End Academy product started on the substitutes' bench in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
Nicholas believes that Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pépé and Dani Ceballos are ahead of Saka in Unai Emery's pecking order of players in the attacking positions.
''He’s picking strange attacking formations at the moment. I like Saka. He’s going to be a star,'' Nicholas told Sky Sports via The Boot Room.
''But at the moment, when Lacazette’s fit, it’s Lacazette, Aubameyang and Pepe. He’s got to do more or else, he’ll be left out. And Ceballos behind them. That’s the front four.''

Saka came off the bench to replace Granit Xhaka in the 61st minute as the Gunners threw away a two-goal lead to draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
