Saka Labelled Classy Left-Back Ahead Of Arsenal's Showdown Vs Manchester United
Published: January 01, 2020
Previewing tonight's eagerly anticipated showdown between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in London, Gunners legend Charlie Nicholas has praised Nigerian wonderkid Bukayo Saka.
With the injury enforced absence of Sead Kolašinac and Kieran Tierney, Saka has gotten the nod over another player of Nigerian descent Tolaji Bola for the left-back position.
The 18-year-old has logged 320 minutes playing in the left-back role, starting from when he replaced Kolašinac vs Manchester City before going the distance against Everton, Bournemouth and Chelsea.
"I cannot give up on them, but Arsenal can't buy a win at the moment. Although it does seem more promising," Nicholas told Sky Sports.
"There is more fight in there, no confidence, but there is a shape and a tendency to go and try to squeeze the ball.
"Mesut Ozil is playing better, Aubameyang is still scoring and Bukayo Saka has been class at left-back despite being an attacker."

Since making his debut against Vorskla in the Europa League, Saka has appeared in 21 matches for Arsenal's first team, scoring two goals in this season's Europa League.
