Chelsea Record Biggest Transfer Profit In The World After Selling Two Super Eagles Stars, 14 Others
According to a new study by CIES Football Observatory, English Premier League side Chelsea made the biggest transfer profit of any club in the world in the last two transfer windows.

The Stamford Bridge outfit generated an income of €250 million for releasing sixteen players and spent €45 million to sign Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid on a permanent basis last July, bringing a positive balance of  €205 million, more than any other club in the world.

The sale of two Nigeria internationals contributed to six percent of Chelsea's total incomes received from outgoing transfers.

While Kenneth Omeruo cost Leganes five million euros when he signed a permanent deal last summer, Torino were made to cough up ten million euros to acquire academy product Ola Aina.

With a positive balance of €166m, Benfica are next on the list followed by Ajax Amsterdam (+137m), Sporting CP (+92m) and Red Bull Salzburg (+75m).

Victor Osimhen's Lille recorded the highest positive balance in the French Ligue 1 with a net profit of €69 million while Samuel Kalu's Bordeaux are second with 37 million euros.
