'He Is One Of The Best Managers In The World' - Chelsea Loanee Moses On Connection With Conte
Published: February 13, 2020
Speaking after Inter Milan's narrow 1-0 loss to Napoli in a Coppa Italia match on Wednesday night, Chelsea-owned wing-back Victor Moses has admitted that he has a special connection with Antonio Conte which has seen him flourish under the respected Italian manager.
Having spent three successive loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham, Conte saw something in the former Nigeria international and retained him in the Chelsea squad for the 2016-2017 season and he played a key role as The Blues won the Premier League title.
No thanks to injuries, Moses had a difficult patch in the first half of the season at Fenerbahce but he's gradually rediscovering his form after reuniting with Conte last month.
When asked about his connection with Conte and becoming a huge player under him, Moses told Inter TV :"Obviously, the manager is a huge manager, one of the best managers in the world, he is very passionate about the game, he's played the game as well.
"The most important thing for us now is to understand what he wants us to do and try to play for him which we are doing at the moment.
"As I said before we are very disappointed with this game but obviously we need to make amends for it and try to win our next game on Sunday.
"The manager is a quality manager, he's one of the best managers in the world and I'm very glad and happy to be here to play for him and to help the team".

Including yesterday's defeat to Napoli in which he started and lasted 74 minutes on the San Siro turf, Moses has been involved in the last four matches played by Inter Milan and provided an assist in the derby vs AC Milan last weekend.
