'He Looks A Real Prospect' - Former Crystal Palace Coach Tips Arsenal Super Kid Saka For England Call-Up
Published: March 03, 2020Former Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis believes Nigeria-eligible youngster Bukayo Saka deserves a call-up to the England squad ahead of the 2020 European Championship despite his young age.
Pulis is impressed with the versatility of Saka, who can play anywhere across the left side, including left-back, left wing-back and left winger positions.
The Hale End Academy product has been an England youth international since 2016, first playing for the U16s before he was promoted to the U19s in November 2018.
Speaking after Arsenal's 2-0 win against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Monday, Pulis told BBC Radio 5 Live : "Saka has been absolutely outstanding. I have watched him twice. I think he is going to be a top, top player.
"He looks a player who can play anywhere. He has got tremendous ability, his control and temperament and he's got wonderful pace.

"He is physically strong enough, he has proved that in the two games I have watched. He looks a real, real prospect."
Asked if Saka is too young to recieve an England call-up, the former Eagles coach added : "Not for me. I think if he's good enough, he is good enough, no matter what age he is."
England coach Gareth Southgate is expected to announce his roster for international friendlies against Italy and Denmark within the next seventeen days.
