'My Team Is Arsenal' - Chelsea-Linked Striker Maja Eyes Transfer To The Gunners
Published: March 03, 2020
Nigeria international Josh Maja has revealed that Arsenal are his favourite club and harbors ambitions of playing for the north London club in future.
The London-born Bordeaux striker previously wore the colours of the youth teams of Crystal Palace and Fulham, who are based in the English capital, and trained with Manchester youth teams before switching to Sunderland in 2016.
Arsenal were not one of the teams credited with an interest in Maja before Bordeaux beat several English teams to his signature in January 2019.
"Obviously, growing up in London, one of my dreams is to play in the Premier League," Maja said to beIN Ligue 1 Confo.
"Hopefully in the future, that opportunity will come.
"My team is Arsenal, so hopefully one day I’ll get the opportunity to play for them. If not, then I’ll keep supporting them anyway."

Maja, who is the most efficient Nigerian striker playing in the top five European Leagues this season, was linked with another London club Chelsea in the January transfer window and has been scouted several times by Everton since his move to France.
