The purchase option agreed between the two clubs became mandatory if Simon played 25 official matches in addition to scoring 10 goals, but he could not fulfill the second condition because the season was suspended in France.
Simon has inked a four-year contract with effect from July 1, 2020, keeping him at the Canaries until June 30, 2024.
