Confirmed : Super Eagles Winger Joins Nantes On Permanent Deal From Levante
Published: June 15, 2020
Nigeria international Moses Simon has joined Nantes on a permanent deal, the French Ligue 1 club confirmed via their official website on Monday afternoon.
Nantes have exercised their option to purchase the winger from Levante for a fee of five million euros after impressing on loan during the 2019-2020 season.
The purchase option agreed between the two clubs became mandatory if Simon played 25 official matches in addition to scoring 10 goals, but he could not fulfill the second condition because the season was suspended in France.
Simon has inked a four-year contract with effect from July 1, 2020, keeping him at the Canaries until June 30, 2024.
The Super Eagles star was involved in 17 goals (9 goals, 8 assists) from 30 appearances in all competitions.
He was named Nantes Player of the Season after claiming forty percent of the votes cast.
The Golden Boot Soccer Academy product previously wore the jerseys of AS Trencin and KAA Gent.
