Bournemouth Issue Message To Flying Eagles Star After Wycombe Promotion To Championship

Premier League club Bournemouth have sent a message to Nigeria U20 international Nnamdi Ofoborh in the wake of Wycombe Wanderers' promotion to the second-tier of English football via the playoffs.
The Chairboys sealed promotion to the Championship after beating Oxford United 2-1 in the playoff final on Monday, with Ofoborh among the three players of Nigerian descent in action, the others being Fred Onyedinma and Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Ofoborh has made inroads in his career as he was released four years ago, but has gone on to appear in the U20 World Cup and has captained Bournemouth U21s.
The central midfielder's initial deal would have kept him at Wycombe until June 30, 2020, but it was extended until the end of the playoffs due to the protracted campaign.
Bournemouth Academy tweeted : "Released at 16 😨 L1 play-off winner at 20 🙌 @NnamdiOfoborh4 goes to show that with hard work and the right attitude, dreams can be reached. Keep going 💪 #afcb 🍒".
Ofoborh has been retained by by Bournemouth, to whom he is contracted until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
The 20-year-old appeared in 25 matches for Wycombe Wanderers, scoring two goals.
