Queens Park Rangers Winger Osayi-Samuel Left Out Of Squad Amid Transfer Speculation
Published: July 18, 2020
Bright Osayi-Samuel was left out of Queens Park Rangers matchday squad for their Championship clash against Millwall on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Nigerian-born winger is being linked with an imminent move to Club Brugge and in order not to jeopardize his transfer to the Belgian champions, manager Mark Warburton scratched him from his plans for today's clash at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Osayi-Samuel has spent the last three years of his career at The Hoops, scoring 10 goals in 91 appearances.
Despite the absence of one of their key players, Queens Park Rangers went on to win their last home game of the season 4-3, with four Nigerian players - Eberechi Eze, Luke Amos, Olamide Shodipo and Aramide Oteh - helping them secure the victory.
At minute 62, Eze made it 3-1 when he found space to slot past goalkeeper Bialkowski, taking his tally for the season to 13 goals but his first since the season restarted.
Queens Park Rangers finish the season with a trip to promotion-chasing West Brom on Wednesday, July 22.
