'Of Course I'm Still Here' - In-Demand Winger Ejuke Not Surprised He's Still A Player Of SC Heerenveen
Published: July 21, 2020
Chidera Ejuke has resumed pre-season training with SC Heerenveen amid speculation linking him with a departure from the Dutch Eredivisie side in the summer transfer window.
The Super Eagles hopeful remains contracted to SC Heerenveen for three more seasons.
Ejuke, who is on the radar of Dutch, French and Russian clubs, says he is not surprised that he is still a player of SC Heerenveen.
"Of course I'm still here. It is nice to prepare for a new season," the 22-year-old told FOX Sports (via feanonline.nl) on Monday.
Touted as the best dribbler in the Netherlands top division, Ejuke directly had a hand in 16 goals (10 goals, 6 assists) from 29 appearances over the course of the 2019-2020 season and it is easy to understand why he's on the radar of other European clubs.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and his scout Tunde Adelakun are keeping tabs on the exciting winger with a view to a call-up to the national team.
