Official : Super Eagles Striker Joins Russian Side Dynamo Moscow On Permanent Deal
Published: August 04, 2020
Through a press release published on their official website, Russian Premier League club Dynamo Moscow have announced that they have activated the option to buy Nigeria international Sylvester Igboun permanently from FC Ufa.
The former Midtjylland star is now contracted to Dynamo Moscow until the end of the 2021-2022 season, having put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Igboun spent a large portion of last season on loan at Dynamo, scoring 2 goals and providing one assist for the Muscovites in 21 matches across all competitions.
Commenting on his permanent switch to Dynamo Moscow, the striker said : "I want to say thank you to Dynamo for their faith in me and the opportunity to continue my career in the blue and white squad.
"The first year turned out to be difficult, we were either at the bottom of the table or close to the very top of it.
"We did what we could in such a situation and took the place that brings Dynamo back to the European competition. That's cool!"
Sly, as he is fondly called, spent five years at FC Ufa, and departs the club after making 119 appearances and finding the net on 27 occasions.
