Balogun's Injury Curse Strikes Again As Rangers Coach Confirms Super Eagle Won't Feature Vs Livingston
Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will make a late decision on who partners Connor Goldson in central defence when his side tackle Efe Ambrose's Livingston in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The Liverpool legend confirmed at Friday's press conference that injury-prone Super Eagles center back Leon Balogun won't be available for selection against Livingston after failing to recover from a quad injury he suffered in their last game vs St. Mirren which led to his substitution at half-time.

Rangers have yet to put a time frame on Balogun's return to action as they are awaiting the scan results to know the full extent of his injury.

"Leon Balogun won't be available for the weekend, he has got a small quad problem and we are still waiting for some scan results to confirm that but he's certainly ruled out for the weekend," Gerrard told Rangers TV.

Balogun started alongside Goldson in central defence in Rangers' first three games and they are yet to concede in domestic matches in the new season.

Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo and ex-Leicester City youth-teamer Calvin Bassey are in contention to be named in the traveling squad to Livingston.
