Chelsea Loanee Moses Looking Forward To Europa League Semifinal Showdown Vs Shakhtar Donetsk
Published: August 17, 2020Chelsea loanee Victor Moses has taken to Instagram to reveal that he's looking forward to the Europa League semifinal showdown between Inter Milan and Ukrainian opponents Shakhtar Donetsk at the Merkur Spiel-Arena (Düsseldorf) on Monday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Moses and his Inter teammates will join Sevilla in the final on Friday, August 21 should they beat Shakhtar Donetsk, who won the old UEFA Cup back in the 2008-2009 season.
The Nerazzurri have faced Shakhtar Donetsk twice in Europe in the past, and that was in the Champions League qualifiers fifteen years ago when they beat the Ukrainians 2-0 at the Shakhtar Stadion with a certain Obafemi Martins opening the scoring, before they were held to a 1-1 draw in the return leg.
Since joining Inter Milan in the January transfer window, Moses has helped Antonio Conte's team register three wins - against Ludogorets (2) and Bayer Leverkusen.
On Sunday, Moses posted on Instagram, accompanied with a photo of himself and Christian Eriksen training, "Semi-Final tomorrow 🙏🏿 #EuropaLeague".
The 29-year-old Moses won the Europa League with Chelsea in his debut season with the club and played two games for the current winners before heading to Fenerbahce on loan in January 2019.
