Adarabioyo Seeks Clarity Over Future Amid Manchester City Links With Napoli Defender
Published: August 22, 2020Anglo-Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo wants manager Pep Guardiola to decide if he has a future at Manchester City, few weeks before the start of the 2020-2021 season, according to reports.
Adarabioyo has enjoyed successful loan spells at West Brom and Blackburn Rovers in the last two seasons as a result of a lack of first team opportunities at the Etihad Stadium.
John Stones, Nicolás Otamendi, Eric García, Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho were ahead of Adarabioyo in the pecking order of center backs at Manchester City last season.
The former England youth international could find himself further down the pecking order, with the Citizens bringing in Nathan Ake from Bournemouth and they have been linked with a move for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.
Manchester Evening News wrote : "Angelino and Tosin Adarabioyo need to know promptly how they figure in Guardiola's plans.
"Neither player has given up hope of making it at the Etihad but would rather sort out a good move at another top-flight team if they are to be overlooked again."
Adarabioyo has made eight appearances for Manchester City's first team since making his professional debut against Chelsea in February 2016.
