'We're One Of The Best Teams In Europe' - Barcelona Striker Oshoala After Win Vs Atlético Madrid
Published: August 22, 2020
Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala faced the cameras shortly after the 2019 finalists beat Atlético Madrid 1-0 at the San Mamés Barria (Bilbao) to reach the
semifinals of the UEFA Women's Champions League on Friday evening.
Oshoala played a major role in the victory as she was involved in the build-up to the game-winning goal when Hamraoui blasted a loose ball into the net after the Nigeria international miscued her acrobatic attempt.
Speaking to UEFA's official website, Oshoala stated : "I think we're one of the best teams in Europe. Each game we try to give our best.
"Winning games is something that comes from hard work from the team. As a team we just hope to keep getting better."
Up next for Oshoala and her teammates, they face one of the most successful teams in the Women's Champions League in Wolfsburg who have two titles to their name.
"It's still the same mindset, we want to go in and give our best all the time. We want to make sure we play good football and try to get through the next round.
"We have to enjoy the moment now and work harder for the next game," the Barcelona number 20 added.
This season, Oshoala has been involved in four Champions League matches for Barcelona, scoring one goal against Minsk back in October.
