English Premier League side Arsenal have officially announced that Swedish football tactician Freddie Ljungberg is leaving the club to pursue new opportunities in the upcoming season.
An Arsenal Invincible, Ljungberg served as an assistant coach to Mikel Arteta last term and was interim boss of the Gunners prior to the appointment of the Spaniard.
The Swede previously coached Arsenal U23s where he worked with Bukayo Saka and he played a major role in helping the Anglo-Nigerian winger settle into the first team.
"Freddie has given us all so much valuable advice and support. He's a fantastic coach and someone we all look up to," said Saka to Arsenal's official website.
"I'm just so grateful that I’ve been able to work alongside and learn directly from someone like him at this early part of my career."
Saka impressed in a breakout season for Arsenal, scoring 4 goals and assisting 12 in 38 appearances in all competitions.
