Four Nigeria-Eligible Players On Show For QPR In Win Vs AFC Wimbledon But Eze Missing
Published: August 22, 2020
Queen Park Rangers stepped up their preparations for the new season with a routine 3-0 friendly win over AFC Wimbledon at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with wanted man Eberechi Eze conspicuously missing from the squad that executed the game, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Hoops manager Mark Warburton was able to count on the services of Ody Alfa, Olamide Shodipo, Luke Amos and Bright Osayi-Samuel for today's exhibition match.
Last week, Eze was spotted in training with his mates despite transfer speculations linking him with a summer exit from the club but was nowhere to be found as Rangers took in their first pre-season engagement.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a summer move to the English Premier League after putting himself in the shop window in the 2019-2020 season.
The attacking midfielder who is contracted to the club until at least June 30, 2021 enjoyed a productive season last term, scoring 14 goals and setting up eight others in 46 starts in theChampionship.
Goals from Ilias Chair, Lyndon Dykes and a Paul Osew own goal helped QPR win their first pre-season game.
