Super Eagles Defender Awaziem Pictured Training With Porto With Future Up In The Air
Published: September 01, 2020
Chidozie Awaziem has been pictured training with FC Porto amid speculation surrounding his future with the Portuguese champions, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Porto coach Sérgio Conceição monitored Awaziem and twenty-five other players at the PortoGaia Training and Sports Training Center on Monday as they started the second week of pre-season preparations.
With Conceição still in charge of the Dragons, the Nigeria international is aware that he must seek a move away from the club, either permanently or on a temporary basis, in order to play on a regular basis.
CD Leganes, where he spent last season, could not afford to sign him on a permanent basis following their demotion to the second-tier of Spanish football.
Since Awaziem's promotion to Porto's first team, he has made fifteen appearances in four years and has also enjoyed loan spells at Nantes and Rizespor.
Meanwhile, recent signing from CD Santa Clara, Zaidu Sanusi trained for the first time with his new teammates on Monday.
