Rohr Identifies GK Yakubu's Biggest Weakness And Strengths Ahead Of Debut Vs Algeria Or Tunisia
Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has identified goalkeeper Mathew Yakubu's biggest weakness and also highlighted his key attributes ahead of his debut for the Super Eagles either against Algeria or Tunisia.

The SKF Sered glovesman has forced his way into Nigeria reckoning after keeping three consecutive clean sheets in his first three games in the Slovakian Super Liga this term.

Assessing the weakness and strengths of Yakubu, Rohr pointed out that the former Flying Eagles star does not have the average goalkeeper height but has a good leap, and is comfortable with the ball at his feet.

"During the training sessions Yakubu did very well, first time with us, he's now 21 and still progressing," Rohr said.

"He is playing regularly in his club in Slovakia and our goalkeeper coach has said that he's on the right way and he has a good future also, strong legs, playing well with the foot.

"He's not so tall like the other one but he jumps very well.

"I think he'll be the first or second goalkeeper tomorrow. In one of the two games, we'll be able to see him."

Yakubu went on to concede nine goals in his last five matches for SKF Sered after he was unbeaten his previous three.

The Clique Sports product was a member of the Flying Eagles squad to the 2019 African Games in Morocco.
