'I Want To See Good Football' - Rohr On What He Expects From Super Eagles Stars Vs Algeria
Published: October 09, 2020
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has spoken of his expectations for the glamour friendly between the Super Eagles and African champions Algeria taking place at the Wörthersee Stadium, Klagenfurt this evening.
The German coach emphasized that he wants to see the Super Eagles play good football, adding that he's using the games this month to fine-tune his strategies before the resumption of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
"I want to see good football, I want to see the same spirit we had long time before in the last games, I want to also see new faces, we have eight new players invited in the list of 26 so it will be interesting to discover these players," Rohr said.
"We already saw a little bit in the training sessions but again it is different.
"We are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations, and even having a little look to the World Cup so these two games are very interesting, like test for our players so the result is not the most important but preparation for the future".

Nigeria are undefeated in their last five matches, beating Tunisia, Benin and Lesotho in competitive fixtures while drawing against Ukraine and Brazil.
