25 Eagles At The Disposal Of Rohr Vs Algeria As All Players Test Negative For Covid-19
Published: October 09, 2020
Gernot Rohr, manager of three-time African champions Nigeria, will be able to call upon the services of all the players invited for the friendly against Algeria, with the exception of young LASK goalkeeper Tobias Lawal, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed on Friday evening that all the Super Eagles players and officials in camp tested negative for coronavirus ahead of the game against the Desert Foxes.
The COVID-19 tests were conducted on Thursday under the supervision of UEFA officials.
In his press conference prior to today's game, coach Rohr mentioned that four unnamed Super Eagles players previously tested positive for coronavirus but fully recovered before reporting for international duty.
Tobias Lawal has not been issued a Nigerian passport and won't be involved in any capacity against the Algerians, leaving twenty-five players available for selection.
Rohr could hand game time to seventeen players in the friendly against Algeria as a maximum of six substitutes are permitted.
