Former Arsenal Striker Campbell Backs Everton Winger Iwobi To Rediscover His Form

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell is backing Alex Iwobi to rediscover his form at Everton.
The Nigeria international was one of the few bright sparks in the Toffees disappointing 3-1 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday after coming off the bench.
Iwobi showed the defensive side of his game, tracking back on a couple of occasions to recover the ball.
He struggled to replicate his performances for Arsenal in his first season at Goodison Park but Campbell reckons that the Super Eagles playmaker can step up his game.
The Hale End Academy product has started only one Premier League game in the new season and this suggests that manager Carlo Ancelotti rates other attack-minded players ahead of him.
"A lot was expected from him when he came into Everton from Arsenal. He was seen as a player who could take them on, but they were not at that level yet. He could not do it all on his own and he has struggled," Campbell said to Football Insider.
"This is the time now where Iwobi has to pick it up. It could be a confidence thing with him.
"He is supposed to be performing better. He is a lot better than he is showing and I know his form will come back but I do not know if he will be able to get into that team with Richarlison, Rodriguez and Calvert-Lewin.

One of the best Super Eagles players on show during the last international break in October, Iwobi is expected to report for international duty in the coming days ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
