Rangers' Nigeria International Defender Makes Scottish Premiership Team Of The Week
Glasgow Rangers central defender Leon Balogun has been included in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Week by celebrated football statistics website Whoscored following the conclusion of matchday fifteen.

Fresh from starting the two matches played by Nigeria in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone, Balogun helped Steven Gerrard's side record their sixth consecutive sheet in a 4-0 rout of Aberdeen.

In a 4-4-2 formation, he was partnered in central defence by Livingston's Ciaron Brown in the Scottish Premiership Best XI.

With Balogun in the squad, Rangers have not let in a goal in the seven games he has been involved in this term.

The former Brighton & Hove man was on the bench when they conceded in back-to-back matches against Hibernian and Motherwell in September.

The Super Eagle won a team-high two aerial duels against Aberdeen, made two interceptions, completed 89.5 percent of his passes, won two fouls and made one dribble.

Rangers contributed four players to the Team of the Week, with James Tavernier, Scott Arfield and Ryan Kent also making the cut.
