Super Eagles Hopeful Lookman Reacts To Fulham's Impressive Draw Against Liverpool
Published: December 14, 2020
Super Eagles hopeful Ademola Lookman has taken to social media to praise his Fulham teammates after their impressive 1-1 draw with current English Premier League champions Liverpool.
Even with the odds stacked against the Cottagers, they were eleven minutes away from recording a famous win but Mohamed Salah salvaged a point for the Reds when he converted a penalty, awarded after Aboubakar Kamara was adjudged to have handled the ball in the wall from a free-kick.
Lookman was involved in the opening goal of the game netted by Bobby Reid as he cut Liverpool's defence open with a through ball and freed up space for Reid who finished superbly in the 25th minute.
The 2017 U20 World Cup winner was delighted to welcome fans back to Craven Cottage for the first time since February.
Writing on Instagram, Lookman said : "Good performance from the boys today with lots to now build on. Great to have the fans back in the ground supporting us too 💯".
Scott Parker's team have dropped to the relegation zone despite getting a point off Liverpool following Burnley's win against ten-man Arsenal in the late kickoff.
The Londoners will face Brighton & Hove in their next Premier League game on Wednesday, December 15.
