The Super Eagles of Nigeria have intensified preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoff tournament after officially opening camp in Rabat, Morocco, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Paris FC dazzler Moses Simon is the latest player to link up with the national team in Rabat, bringing the total number of players in camp to seven.

Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun and Wilfred Ndidi, and Moses Simon are also in camp alongside team officials at the Rive Hotel in Rabat.

The players will begin full training sessions under head coach Eric Chelle as Nigeria prepares for its crucial semi-final clash against the Panthers of Gabon.

The sessions will focus on tactical coordination, fitness work, and team chemistry ahead of the decisive fixture.

Three additional players — captain William Troost-Ekong, Benjamin Fredrick and Chidozie Awaziem — are expected to join the team later tonight.

The rest of the invited players are expected to arrive as the Super Eagles continue their build-up to the playoff.

The Super Eagles' camp in Rabat marks the official start of Nigeria's journey in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoff series.

The team will remain in Morocco as preparations continue for the semi-final encounter against Gabon, scheduled for Thursday, November 13.
