Former Flying Eagles Midfielder Attracting Interest From Charlton Athletic
Published: January 19, 2021Former Nigeria U20 international Nnamdi Ofoborh is on the radar of League One club Charlton Athletic in the January transfer window, according to reports.
London News Online says The Addicks are interested in a permanent deal for the Bournemouth central midfielder.
Ofoborh has entered the final six months of his contract with the Cherries, who are looking to extend his stay at the Vitality Stadium beyond the end of the 2020-2021 campaign.
The 21-year-old has yet to make his full debut for Bournemouth in the Championship but made two starts in the Carabao Cup before they were knocked out of the competition by defending champions Manchester City.
He has 24 all-time appearances in the Football League including the playoffs with 21 in the colours of Wycombe Wanderers where he spent the whole of last season on loan and helped them seal promotion to the second-tier of English football.
Ofoborh had stops with the youth teams of Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall before joining Bournemouth on a scholarship deal in July 2016.
Should the move materialize, he will join Chuks Aneke and Deji Oshilaja at Charlton Athletic.
