Olayinka Scores Against His Former Club As Slavia Prague Advance To Czech MOL Cup Last Sixteen
Published: January 19, 2021Slavia Prague advanced to the last sixteen of the Czech MOL Cup on Tuesday following a 4-1 hammering of Sunday Faleye's Dukla Prague at the Sinobo Stadium (Praha).
One-cap Nigeria international Peter Olayinka has now scored in all the competitions he has been involved in this season after finding the net in today's derby.
Prior to the game against Dukla Prague, he had not featured for the Czech First League champions since the 20th of December due to muscular problems.
Olayinka has a connection with Dukla Prague as he spent the entirety of the 2016-2017 season at the club, on loan from Belgian side KAA Gent.
He came off the bench in the 56th minute to replace Stanislav Tecl for his nineteenth appearance of the season in all competitions.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Olayinka wrapped up the scoring when he took a shot from the middle of the box to the far post to make it 4-1.
His other goals this season came in the Fortuna Liga, Europa League and Champions League qualifying.
