Super Eagles Midfielder To Undergo Late Fitness Test Ahead Of Leicester City's Clash Vs Wolves
Published: February 05, 2021
Wilfred Ndidi will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Leicester City's English Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Nigeria international has not featured for the Foxes since suffering a hamstring-related injury during the first half of the 1-1 draw with Everton on January 27.
Speaking to reporters at Friday's press conference, manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Ndidi is close to making a return from injury but added that it's touch-and-go whether he will be involved in some capacity against Wolves.
On Ndidi's fitness, the Northern Irishman said : "We’ll see with him over the next 24 hours, just whether it’s worth the risk or not.
"He’s coming along very, very well. We’ll assess that. If not for the weekend, he’ll definitely be available for midweek (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion in the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round)."

This season, Ndidi has missed as many as ten games in the Premier League as a result of injury.
