Iwobi Enters Game As Sub In Six-Goal Thriller Between Manchester United And Everton
Published: February 06, 2021Manchester United and Everton shared the spoils with an entertaining 3-3 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
Alex Iwobi, who had started ten of the last twelve matches played by the Toffees before the visit to Manchester, hopped off the bench for the final fifteen minutes, replacing Tom Davies.
United at times were at sixes and sevens defensively but were 2-0 up at the break thanks to Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes' strikes.
Doucouré tapped home to halve the deficit three minutes after the restart and on 52 minutes James Rodríguez drilled the ball past de Gea to restore parity.
McTominay thought he'd won it for Manchester United when he restored the lead in the 70th minute until Dominic Calvert-Lewin popped up in the fifth minute of stoppage time to make it 3-3.
Iwobi has recorded 19 appearances in the top-flight this term and has one goal to his name which came against Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
The piece of good news for Manchester City is that they can strengthen their advantage at the top of the table if they beat Liverpool on Sunday.
