How Leicester Man Of The Match Ndidi Reacted To Win Against Premier League Champions Liverpool
Published: February 13, 2021
Leicester City came from a goal down to beat Liverpool 3-1 in a heavyweight Premier League clash staged at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
For the first time in seven games across all competitions played by the Foxes, fit again holding midfielder Wilfred Ndidi put in a full shift and was very impressive, so much so that he was voted Leicester City's Man of the Match.
City were staring at defeat with less than thirteen minutes to go after Mohamed Salah had given Liverpool the lead but a magnificent fightback saw them score three goals inside seven minutes.
James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes found the back of the net for Brendan Rodgers' team, inflicting Jurgen Klopp three consecutive defeats in the Premier League for the first time as Liverpool manager.
Barnes wrapped up the scoring five minutes from time following a lovely pass from Ndidi.
The Nigeria international took to social media to react to Leicester's win against the champions, tweeting : "King power stays blue 💙🦊".
The win sees Leicester City move to second in the table and go six points clear of Liverpool who are now battling to remain in the top four having played a game more than Chelsea and West Ham United.
