Free-scoring Manchester City U18 striker Sodje scores 17th league goal of the season

Tai Sodje, nephew of former Nigeria international Sam Sodje, was once again on the scoresheet as Manchester City thrashed Stoke City 5-0 in an U18 Premier League match at the Academy Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old has added assists to his game recently, setting up Manchester City's second goal netted by Oscar Bobb in the 12th minute - the fourth assist he has provided in his last eleven games in the division.
Sodje then powered home a header to make it 3-0 in the 38th minute, taking his tally for the season to 17 goals in 16 appearances.
On as a substitute in the 56th minute, another striker of Nigerian descent Dire Mebude celebrated his second goal for the U18s when he smashed the ball into the bottom corner in the 83rd minute to wrap up the scoring.
The highlight of Sodje's season so far has to be the hat-trick he netted in a 3-1 win at Liverpool in the first half of the campaign.
He scored braces against Sunderland, Liverpool, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Manchester City lead the way in the U18 Premier League North on goal difference ahead of city rivals Manchester United, who have also accumulated 39 points.
