Racing Genk striker Paul Onuachu has been likened to Czech Republic all-time top scorer Jan Koller by former Derby County star Branko Strupar.

The FC Ebedei product is having his most successful season as a professional in terms of goals scored, with 27 in all tournaments and looks nailed-on-favorite to win the top scorer award in the Belgian First Division A this season.

Onuachu's latest goal came against RSC Anderlecht in the semifinals of the Belgian Cup, putting him in contention to win his first silverware with Genk.

"I would like to see him live at work. He reminds me of Jan Koller, but with even better feet. I hear that he will not stay much longer ," Branko Strupar told Het Laatste Nieuws (via voetbalkrant).

Onuachu has been placed on standby for Nigeria's upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Republic of Benin and Lesotho, an unpopular decision by manager Gernot Rohr as the former Midtjylland man is the leading Nigerian marksman in Europe.

Having said that, the 26-year-old has failed to pull his weight during Super Eagles duty, with no goals in his last six appearances for the national team.
