Kelechi Iheanacho continued his sparkling goalscoring form by scoring a brace and providing an assist to help Leicester City defeat Manchester United 3-1 in an Emirates FA Cup quarterfinal clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening.
In a 3-4-1-2 formation, the former Manchester City starlet partnered Jamie Vardy in attack while Wilfred Ndidi started as one of the two central midfielders.
Iheanacho opened the scoring in the 24th minute, swooping in and slotting past United goalkeeper Henderson following a terrible back-pass from Fred.
Manchester United pulled level through Mason Greenwood, the number 11 fnished off a fine move involving Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek in the 38th minute.
Youri Tielemans gave Leicester City the lead once again in the 52nd minute with Iheanacho providing the assist.
The Red Devils tried to respond as Ole Gunnar Solskjær made four changes at once, bringing on Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani in the 64th minute, but it was Leicester City that scored the crucial fourth goal of the game.
Twelve minutes from time, Iheanacho ghosted in unmarked at the far post and was allowed to head home after an excellent delivery from Marc Albrighton.
