'You have to give all your best' - Super Eagles stars Troost-Ekong, Musa speak about playing in Lagos
Watford central defender William Troost-Ekong is looking forward to playing his first international match in the country's commercial capital, Lagos when the Super Eagles face Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium located in Surulere on Tuesday evening.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was in the Nigeria squad that defeated Sierra Leone the last time the national team played a game in Lagos, on February 9, 2011.

Tuesday's game between Nigeria and Lesotho will be played with selected fans in the stands owing to the COVID-19 safety protocols, meaning the players will likely miss the roar of the vociferous Lagos spectators.

Speaking to reporters, Troost-Ekong said : "We are really happy, just being here in Lagos as well for the camp is something nice, and we feel we are close to the fans.

"You know every time I have come through Lagos I see how much football lives here".

Musa added : "Coming back to Lagos is my second experience playing here because I've been in this stadium I think ten years back so for them they will not understand that because most of the fans are not coming out to watch the game.

"If all the fans are going to watch that is when they will understand playing in Lagos you have to give all your best to know what you can do so that you win  the game because the fans are so crazy".

Nigeria are undefeated after five matches in Group L of 2021 AFCON qualifying, winning three matches and drawing two.
