Ladapo, Elerewe outstanding for Charlton Athletic in 5-0 win against Swansea City U18s
Published: March 31, 2021Two talented Nigerian teenagers Ayodeji Elerewe and Tolu Ladapo put in an impressive all-round showing as Charlton Athletic defeated a youthful Swansea City U18 side in a Professional Development League match on Tuesday.
Charlton Athletic have been in impressive form in
the division, topping the table after winning seven of their last eight
games and scoring 28 goals during that span.
While Elerewe helped his team keep a clean sheet against the Swans who were without former Chelsea and Crystal Palace schoolboy Adrian Akande , Ladapo scored with a bullet header and assisted two of the five goals netted by the Addicks.
Central defender Elerewe has been a key player for Charlton U18s this term even though he is a first year scholar.
The 2003-born defender is strong in the air, composed on the ball and has drawn comparisons with Super Eagles star Semi Ajayi.
Ladapo was born in 2004 and also a first year scholar; he likes to take players on as he is blessed with pace and trickery.
The striker cum winger is very good at holding up the ball and loves scoring goals.
