Kano Pillars-bound Musa ranked 4th most valuable free agent, more expensive than ex-Chelsea stars
Published: April 13, 2021Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has been ranked the fourth most expensive player without a club by celebrated transfer market website Transfermarkt.
The former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow winger, who is currently a free agent, could be off the market in the coming days as he is advanced talks to join Nigeria Professional Football League club Kano Pillars.
Musa has been unemployed since mutually terminating his contract with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr around six months ago.
Musa's market value has been estimated at four million euros, €14m less than his highest market value he attained in May 2016.
Of the players named in the top ten, the Nigerian is more expensive than Mubarak Wakaso (€3m), Roman Eremenko (€2m), Saphir Taïder (€2m), former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge (€2m), Konstantin Rausch (€1.8m) and ex-Chelsea midfielder Ramires (€1.5m).
Only Alex Teixeira (€7m), Diego Costa (€6m) and Younès Belhanda (€4m) ranked higher than Musa in the ten most valuable players without a club.
