2003-born midfielder of Nigerian descent on the bench for Aston Villa in loss to Man Utd

2003-born central midfielder of Nigerian descent Carney Chukwuemeka was named in the matchday squad for Aston Villa in a 3-1 loss to Manchester United in a Premier League clash at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
This is the third time in 2021 that the England youth international has been picked in the matchday 20 by manager Dean Smith as he was also in the squads against Leicester City and Manchester City without tasting action.
Chukwuemeka has impressed for Aston Villa's youth teams this season especially in the FA Youth Cup, where he has scored five goals and provided two assists in the three games he's appeared.
Manchester City's title celebrations were put on hold for the second consecutive day following the win by their closest challengers.
Aston Villa took a merited lead in the first half through a smashing goal from Burkina Faso international Bertrand Traoré but after the break Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side netted three times.
Bruno Fernandes started the comeback when he converted from the spot in the 52nd minute before goals from Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani ensured Manchester United became the first team to win ten Premier League matches in a single-season after conceding the first goal.
Chukwuemeka has recorded 22 appearances for Aston Villa's youth teams in 2020-2021 with most of the games (16) coming in the Premier League 2.
